"Possible Nintendo Sequals"
Well considering it's the festive season and people are all jolly and excited, I thought I'd do the same as last year and write a rather light hearted investigation. I've decided to look into some possible sequels to some of Nintendo GameCube's top games (plus a few more that aren't Nintendo or GameCube related just for fun). Please remember none of these possible games are real, they don't exist and most likely never will. Anyway, it's Christmas so it's not meant to be serious, just a bit of fun. Everyone have a great Christmas!
Name: Super Smash Bros: Shoot Out
Description: Nintendo are at it again with their highly popular Smash Bros. Series. This time Nintendo have revolutionised the style of play and have brought the game from the beat-em-up to the first ever "fun" first person shoot-em-up. So why "fun" then? Well it's simple really, not only can you go around shooting all your favourite Nintendo characters but you can also paste the face of other worse video game characters onto a Nintendo characters body using the new GBA camera, linked up to your cube. There is a vast amount of weapons to choose from, including the FLUDD, Luigi's Poltergust 3000, a very big bazooka and the most powerful weapon of them all, The OMG What A Huge and Powerful Gun! Mini games include a racing game where 1 player gets to ride in one of the cars from MK:DD and the aim is to run over the other three players and there's also a special Luigi's Masion sucks game where you basically have to go around shops armed with the Poltergust and vacuum up all remaining copies of the game. All this and much more coming soon!
Possibility of release: 0/10 (Shame really)
Name: Super Smash Bros: Toad Shoot Out (Special Edition)
Description: Nintendo really can't contain themselves! With the massive success of the original SSB: Shoot Out, Nintendo are bringing us a special edition! SSB: Toad Shoot Out is the game for all Toad haters out there. The game is simple, in story mode you get to roam around the massive levels shooting all the Toads you see, it doesn't matter what colour they are, just shoot! The rest of game is similar to the original SSB: Shoot Out, but this time in multiplayer player 1 plays as one of the famous Nintendo characters, where the other three play as Toad. So if you're a huge Toad hater then this is the game that must be on the top of your Christmas list!
Possibility of release: 5/10 (Could actually become reality, if people write in to Nintendo)
Name: Pikmin 4: Invasion Earth
Description: Following the cliff hanger end of Pikmin 3, the little green garden creatures have been brainwashed and have been told to invade the planet they inhabit: Earth. Playing as Olimar's evil brother, Ulimar, who's bent on total destruction, you have to control the Pikmin to basically take over Earth. Watch the Pikmin topple all the worlds governments, see them build huge monuments, see them turn each and every human into slaves and the eventual deletion from all video games the most annoying Mushroom in the world (you know who I'm talking about). However there is another side to the story that you can play, deep underground the resistance is being built up with the renegade Pikmin, their leader? Well you'll just have to play the game to find out!
Possibility of release: 3/10 (Highly doubtful)
Name: Pikmin 5: Gardening Tips
Description: Miyamoto has gone a totally different route with the latest release in the Pikmin series. Playing as Miyamoto himself, controlling the Pikmin, the player learns how to garden the proper way! Progress through the diverse levels from the easy, digging a hole and then to the hard, planting plants in a pot. It's all there for the garden enthusiast! But remember, watch out for the birds! They'll eat your Pikmin if you're not careful, this adds a fear factor to the game that no other game can match! Go buy it today, priced very highly.
Possibility of release: 6/10 (It's a maybe)
Name: Grand Theft Auto: Mushroom Kingdom
Description: Nintendo and Rockstar have teamed up to bring you a special edition of the Grand Theft Auto series! Run around an extremely exaggerated, too big to be true version of the Mushroom Kingdom. Steal the vehicles from Mario Kart and whizz around the streets at a very slow velocity, shoot and run over the pedestrians (who all oddly look like Toad and few other Mushroom Kingdom residents). However as this is a Nintendo title, they've made it as young teenager friendly as they can, using the high tech feature of turning off the blood! With this kind of new user-friendly stuff installed, it's sure to pull the crowds! You can play as some of the Nintendo favourites, Mario, Luigi, Kirby, Link and Mr. Game and Watch; each character has their own special abilities and are equipped with their very own special weapon for all that mayhem. Run around Mushroom Kingdom, working for some of the top Red Box dealer's in the business (you don't want to put the cap that's inside the red box on, if you do you'll think you're wearing a cap with wings and you'll attempt to fly!). You have to complete certain objectives to open up new areas of the kingdom. Also following the success (well they think it was a success) of adding an extra game to all the Mario Advance games, Nintendo have added the original Mario Bros. game for an added extra bonus, aren't Nintendo kind to us!
Possibility of release: 1/10 (Only if Nintendo falls on its head)
Name: Luigi: How Clean is your House?
Description: Nintendo have teamed up with the UK's channel 4 to bring you a video game version of the hit TV programme "How Clean is you House". You can play as either Kim, Aggie or the Nintendo sponsored Luigi, for the best tips to clean you house. There are a huge amount of game modes to play on, in Story mode you go around houses (which are really dirty) of people who don't clean so the aim of the game is to clean the house! There's also the tutorial mode, here you can learn top tips on how to clean you house using the most effective methods and don't forget the multiplayer! Up to 4 of you can play and tidy up the randomly generated houses! It's a great buy for all cleaning enthusiasts.
Possibility of release: 4/10 (you think Channel 4 would do this?)
Name: The Legend of Zelda: Ganondorf Returns (Yet again!)
Description: No guessing needed here! Nintendo have gone through yet another brain storm and have come up with nothing. With these thoughts of nothingness and their lack of originality, they've come up with the next Zelda game! Ganondorf has returned to Hyrule and it's up to Link to stop him from taking over and guess what! He's stolen Princess Zelda (surprised? I sure am! That's the most original thing Nintendo's come up with in ages!). Our hero, Link, has to visit at least 4 dungeons in order to receive the amulets that in turn will open up Ganondorf's castle! But this is no easy task, Ganondorf has hidden inside the dungeon's, all the key's for the doors, so Link has to go seek them out. By the looks of things Ganondorf is making it really hard for Link to reach him. Will Link be fast enough to stop Ganondorf and his evil ways?
Possibility of release: 9/10 (except for the game name, it's a sure bet!)
Name: Super Christmas Bros.
Description: Mario and Luigi are on Holiday up the North Poll, whilst enjoying themselves, Bowser turns up on Christmas Eve and steals Santa's soul! Bowser makes a quick get away to his secret lair and so begins the journey! It's up to Mario and Luigi to travel all over the world, dressed in Santa suits, to deliver presents to all the children and in the mean time, recover Santa's soul. This however is not made easy by the fact that Bowser's Lair is hidden. But for just for all of you it can be revealed that the lair is just a fancy building with bright lights, huge signs over head saying "Bowser's Lair is here". Also a Bowser tail sticking out one of the windows and it's believed that the lair is in the middle of a popular city (and is marked clearly on a map!). So as you can see Mario and Luigi have a lot of work ahead of them to find the lair! Will they make it? Buy the game and find out!
Possibility of release: 2/10 (I want to see this one!)
