CURRENT NEWS - First I would like to thank Zelda FREAK for signing the Guestbook, as well as the person who did the Private Message ~ Second, it has been brought to my attention that The Beta Zelda Files do NOT work on Netscape. This REALLY does not surprise me. I'm sure on Netscape not even the Midi Player works. However, during my absense I had a poll up regarding this format for the Files. Very very little people voted "Does Not Work". So, I'm sorry. The Beta Zelda Files are just here to stay. I doubt MCLoZ works at ALL on Netscape. It certaintly didn't last time I checked it on my school's computer a year ago. I am aware of this but the best I can tell Netscape users is: Netscape sucks, try getting Internet Explorer or even AOL. ~ Please be sure to visit the Forums. They are really starting to die out and... I would like to keep them going, please. STARFE, this is your department!!!

And then there's Zelda Elements. ::Smile broadens:: Do I REALLY need to compliment this site? I think most Zelda viewers know just how good this site is and it is really an honor for me to be affiliated with them. ~ Moving right along then, I have reopened the Join the Staff page... with a bit of an edit attached. I have put up a form that will force those interested to CHOOSE which job they want and not make one of them annoying e-mails "I don't know what I want to do. You choose for me." November 21, 2002 | A Newbie's Stupidity Can Be Staggering

CURRENT NEWS - ^_^ I was wondering when Remo was going to fill out his own Scrambler form. You will all also notice that, somehow Remo scored a 20 when there are ONLY 18 points available. *Sigh* Well, give Remo a very very big round of applause, he discovered one of the mistakes I hinted at accidently making on occassion in the Intro, and, as promised, since he found it, I awarded him 2 extra points. The correct has been made to the Scrambler. There was an extra D when it should have been an E. Thank you, Remo. ~ Now, I'm sure you will ALL notice our lovely new banner. Starfe agreed to let me put it up, but, he is still working very very hard to beat it. Isn't it fabulous!! ^_^ I like it. However, as you might have already noticed, that if you click on any pages that are not under the sections "MCLoZ WebSite Stuff" and "For MCLoZ Viewers" that you do not get the new banner but instead get the old one. Well, as stated in the Updates above, I'm working on installing the new banner system. I mentioned it before but MagicFox made a very very bad error when she was creating this design. The banner above (and even the information at the bottom of every page) was put up in regular HTML fashion. What's the problem with that? Well, to change it, I have to go through EVERY single page it appears on to change it. If I had been smart I would have put in SSI. *Sigh* So that's what I'm doing. And if you guys don't understand a word of what I just said, that's fine. Let's just say the new banner will be up on every page very soon and then in the future whenever I want to change the top banner I'll just have to make the change on one single document and it'll appear everywhere.

COMMENTARY - No! I'm not going to be doing anything with the bottom information. That's just going to have to stay. It's aggrivating enough having to go through and change all of the banners. Maybe at a later date when I have something to put there but not now. It's just too much work. *Sigh* How could I have been so stupid!! God, that proves how much of a newbie I still am at all of this. You would THINK I had the foresight to think of that. And, no, I can't just change the image name, because there are two types of graphics .gif and .jpeg and FL uses .jpeg while Starfe uses .gif and I don't have the program to change it. Besides that, I put a message giving thanks to Starfe behind the image, too. A very newbish idea that I need to change anyway. Oi, I never imagined I would do something this stupid. CURRENT NEWS - Oops, sorry, I got RPGrounds site name wrong, I accidently put RPG Grounds. Sorry. I have changed it. COMMENTARY - Hey, hey, hey! I can be gone for a day or so. I told you, MCLoZ isn't my life ^_^ though I do dearly love it. I just sorta got caught up in writing my story, yesterday, and I didn't want to be dragged out of it. Now I have a throbbing middle finger where my writer's callouse is and a bit of a headache from overworking my brain like that. Whoever said being a writer was an easy job oughta be taken out into the street and shot! For those new to MCLoZ and me, it's simple... I want to be a fantasy writer for chilren and young adults. The name of this site, Midnight Castle, is based on one of my stories (my first in fact). You can read more about that topic in the Castle History. ... You know I say I "want to be", when really I am. I'm just not published is the problem. *Sigh* My dream... to see at least one of my books published... to hold the finished copy in my hands with hopefully a nice cover art depicting a scene or my characters. I can't get enough of them. Send me more!! ~ Next, affiliation. ::Eye twitches:: I'm not getting mad at anyone in particular and I will NOT use names. However, my rules in affiliation are VERY clear. "Must update at least two times a week and MUST have proof of doing so (News Ticker, Updates Page, or dates)." I have went through a number of sites already who did not meet this requirement and I'm not yelling at them... except for the one person who continues to complain. And I'm not saying I 'won't' affiliate with you because of it. Just get it fixed first and resubmit your form. ::Jumps up and down frantically:: BUT I'M TIRED OF IT. LOOK!! I have NO hits/visits requirement. I am VERY lax about the site designs. And I do not discriminate. THE LEAST YOU PEOPLE COULD DO IS FOLLOW MY REQUIREMENTS OR DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO AFFILIATE. And even after this, once you are affiliated, I'm lenient about this. As long as I see your site is still being updated on occassion I'm fine and I won't make a big point on this mark. Part 4: 11/14/02 | Squeeze In One More Update Before Bed
UPDATES MADE - Midnight Castle Special Announcements *Updated

CURRENT NEWS - First and foremost, Fire Link has made his first true contribution to the site. Though it was simple it really adds something to the site. He has finally given my poor little Announcements box a bit of cheer! A background!! Rather nice looking if you ask me and dark enough to where it doesn't clutter the words. Very good. And then of course the messages changed. ~ Expect the name plate to change soon. Fire Link is submiting one and I THINK, unless I misunderstood, Starfe is submiting one, too. I'll look over both of them and choose which is the best or whether I should just keep ours... which is getting a little boring now. However, what does this mean. Well, Maxine made a bit of a mistake when making this version of MCLoZ. When I inserted the title image I also put up the special mention behind it... and it was in SSI format... it's on EVERY single page. So, what I'm about to do is go through and edit ALL our pages free of that special mention text and just leave the image itself to change by simply renaming a few files. This is going to take a while... ::groans:: I will not announce the work until it is finished and you shouldn't notice any major change ... unless you frequently run your mouse over the main image to see the words.

COMMENTARY - Before I sign out I just have one thing to give a big yelp for. While I was gone we reached a new visitor record - July 30, 2002 MCLoZ welcomed 292 visitors!!! and throughout the month of August only three days fell below 200 but only just. >:] I vow to get that back again AND KEEP IT and INCREASE it. Tonight is the first time I can actually revel in the glory of this acheivement as we welcomed 208 by 11:00 and I can WAIT to see how many more we will get in an hour. Thank you all!! Thank you for enjoying my site ^_^.

Part 3: 11/14/02 | ::Twitches:: 100+ E-mails.... The horror...

CURRENT NEWS - I have spent all the rest of the morning (it is now 11:30) reading e-mail. ::Her body twitches involuntarily:: The horror.... ::shudders:: Alright. I have answered most e-mails. The ones (unless they were sent in November) that were requests for affiliation or staff I resent just to make sure people were still interested. A lot can happen in the span of half a year. Anyways. I now have 45 e-mails in my "Important Messages" box, and that box is reserved for stuff that is meant to go up on MCLoZ. So, we have oddities coming, fan art, and Scrambler answers. So when I get all of that put up (and I will e-mail the 'fan art' people in return) I will then say that I have all e-mails answered. And then, if you do not see any mail in your boxes or your stuff up, then that's because I did not get your e-mail. I'm sorry. Don't blame me. Blame the idiots in Maryland. Just resend me the e-mail and I will definitely get back on it in true MagicFox timing - a few hours time. Until then, just hold on.

COMMENTARY - Starfe, you're gonna kill me. I have spent these few updates yelling at you waiting to get the thumbnails and... you wanna know something. In my Important Mail box I found them. And then... you ready for this... when I downloaded them... I found that suddenly I had TWO of them in my folder. I looked at the download date for them and one... well, one was downloaded just before I lost the internet. I've had the files on my computer the whole time... Ummm... *cough* uhhh ::runs and hides before he can hit her with his rickenbacker::

CURRENT NEWS - I believe I had already stated in my "absense" log that I have been extremely hard at work. My goal had been to get the walkthrough finished, and though I didn't manage it I did get very close. ::Glares at her staff:: At least someone around here can do work even during a break ^_^. Alright and next, I had to change the Monster Strategy Guide's design due to room. There's just too many monsters and too much information to fit on one page. I don't think it really came out too bad looking, actually. I like it. And it's easier for me to update on it. ~ Now, assorted things will be added throughout the day as I answer e-mail and go through the site and edit what needs to be (mostly the TopSites and the affiliates who have lost their sites). *Sigh* So MUCH work.

COMMENTARY - First, I'm gonna go take me a shower and get dressed! I'll talk to you all later then. Tata!!

CURRENT NEWS - Alright, I have placed up my log of updates that I never managed to get up during my absense since I didn't have the net. *Sigh* Yes, all of you, go and laugh at my time of insanity. Starfe, here's your pay back... though ::Pinches his cheek again like a little boy:: How sweet of you to admit that you missed me ^_^ Awwwwww! ~ Unlike the lazy louts that make up my Staff, I did do a Game Review along with lots of other work. And here it is The Longest Journey. EXCELLENT game. Go read about it! ~ Alright, I just did NOT like the way I presented those ratings on the Zelda Story pages. And it messed up those pretty intro pictures. So, I just dropped it and I just game some game information which is really what I had wanted to do when I put up those ratings. It might not be the most creative, but, it works! ~ Alright, Starfe and Skull wrote a letter making 2 complaints on the Anime section. One of them happened to be the fact that I put the anime series under 'cartoon'. I agreed with them... ANIME IS NOT CARTOONS. So I told them that if ever I got some free time I would go through all of the pages and change it. ;) And I got a LOT of free time. So, here you go boys. ~ Later I will put up what I did of the Z3 walkthrough and Monster Strategy Guide. I haven't started tackling that e-mail, yet. I will as soon as all of this is done.

COMMENTARY - Whew! So much done in that little space of time of 1 hour. God it feels good to update again and to be talking to ALL of you wonderful people ^_^. I really really missed you all. *Sniffle* I promise I will never be gone so long ever again. I PROMISE. Now it's back to update at least twice a week, though I'm sure I'll get far more in than that.

CURRENT NEWS - I'M BACK!!! YEAH!! Ok, I have a LOT of stuff to get done, but I just wanted to pop in and say a swift hello. Full work on MCLoZ will begin TOMORROW. ^_^ I'm back, I'm back. Anyways, I've got LOTS of stuff for you guys and I'm just really REALLY happy to be back. Also, I will start tackling that gigantic list of e-mail that is stuffed in my hotmail account. Be patient. Do NOT start resending me copies of mail to make sure I got it until AFTER I say all mail has been checked. Please. Ok, I'm off to start taking care of business. GOD IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK.
