October 7th - Nintendo Press Conference
September 28, 2004, 8:47 PM EST by Devilitchi
Updates: On October 7th, Nintendo will be holding a Press Conference. We expect to hear more Nintendo DS information, but we are also hoping that Zelda will be mentioned. Stay tuned for more.

Commentary: I just thought I'd post something since I missed that "Realistic Zelda" release date (which wasn't found on any of the news links Maxine gave me, in my defense). ^_^

A sweet farewell until my return and a tiny pleasing rumor...
September 24, 2004, 4:19 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: ::Looks around for Devilitchi:: Well, whatever, if I see news to post, I'm going to post it. -_- I would have hoped he would have already as well. Meh. ::shrugs:: Anyways, there's a small rumor going around started by Gamecube Europe that Realistic Zelda would be released May 22nd. I'm not going to hold my breath, though, and will wait to hear something more official. This would collide with Nintendo's comment that it would not be shown until E3.

Commentary: Well, I'm going. Not really "yet" but, I don't really know what we are doing yet, and I don't feel like having the site and computer hanging over my shoulders. So, I'm just going to say bye and have done with it. If I return ^_^ then I return. :\ It's doubtful though. Well, I hope you guys will continue visiting my site. The forums are now up, and ready to be visited. Until I see you guys again, Tata. *sniffle* I'll miss you guys.

Ok, so while (if) I'm gone, Devilitchi will look after the site
September 21, 2004, 3:24 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Just going to tell you guys that, if I move out soon, I do have someone that will take care of the site and everything. Our very own staff member Devilitchi will be taking care of the site. While there will be no updates, at the very least, he will keep the Z News Menu updated and will be posting news on this front page. When I leave, I will dump this page and move it to the archive and leave a fresh blank one for Devilitchi to fill in and me as well when/if I get little shots of computer access. (Uhh, don't get my wrong, though. I'm NOT leaving, yet. This is just pre-emptive stuff. There's still hope that I won't have to move.)

Commentary: Oh, and Josh/JJK will be working on getting the forums back up and will be the MOD, so the forums aren't dead. Keep checking for updates on that. LOL ^_^;; the forums will be at his mercy until I get back. As a matter of fact, so will my e-mail account. He won't answer my mail or anything, but he'll make sure my hotmail account and everything doesn't over-max and therefore mean not accept any mail. (Just to be safe and make sure I "do" get your mail, send it to my webmaster@mcloz.net account. That doesn't have a quota on it.)

Well, whatever my problems are, Zelda News goes on
September 21, 2004, 9:27 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: More stuff for The Minish Cap. Nine new screenshots, that are low quality, but are still viewable. And two new official art pictures, and these ones aren't sketches.

Commentary: Well, whatever my home problems, I'll still continue doing my best to update the site and stuff. Like now. Meh, I don't really feel like talking, though, and I gotta go.

Ok, little details because it's none of your bizz and it's a long story
September 20, 2004, 10:27 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok, no updates but what I have to say is important. It will pertain to no-doubt the last half of this year. Maxine and her family is getting ready to move, the earliest was at the end of October or so, but might be sooner. I'm going to go through my list of buddies and be start asking some "take-care-of-site" questions.

Commentary: Ok, I really don't want to get into the "whys" of why we may be moving sooner than planned. It's a bunch of bullsh*t between the owners of our house and us (and we're the victims). Anyways, I'm not going to involve or invite you guys into my whole life, so just take it as that. If we go, who knows "when" I'll get my computer back or how often I'll even see a computer. Go into the Update Archive and view the "Period of Absence" section to get a good idea how long I could be gone. Anyways, I need at most two buddies. I need someone to keep track of Z News and post it and someone that will look after my e-mail. ^_^ At least with Coranto this time I'll be able to post news and say hi whenever I want when I get a computer. I have no real idea who I'm going to ask, so we'll see... I'm not going to ask anyone just yet. This was a "warning". -_- We're hoping this smooths over, but it's doutbful. Meh, anyways... Tata, guys! If I suddenly disappear and someone new appears, don't be too shocked. No, there will be no updates while I'm gone, saddly.

Figures, the moment I'm gone, they release Zelda News
September 20, 2004, 4:01 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: For those that might not have heard, yet, UK residents are getting a special treat. On November 12th when you go to buy the new release The Minish Cap, you can opt to purchase it in a bundle with a beatiful special edition SP-model. It's gold colored with a Triforce design emblazed on the top. The pictures on 1UP are enough to make me drool. The whole thing will cost 89 pounds, or $159. No plans have been released, yet, about whether or not this will be made available to other countries.

Commentary: Tcha >_< I'm gone for a few days and they release this. Geez. I can't win. Yet if I had stuck around, ready to jump on top of it and to post it on my site, they wouldn't have said anything. *Sigh* Oh well, I give up. Anyways, this week is going to be pretty busy. Please excuse a slight lack of updates. Hopefully not.... but....

In other news, MagicFox recently purchased FF7 for $15. For those that know me, I'm sure you are surprised since I make no secret that I was not impressed by this game the first time I played it. But, maybe a round of playing it on the PS will change my mind, as well as me actually finishing it this time. Plus, since I spent "my" money on it, I'm sure to appreciate it that much more. >_> Ok, you know what, SHUT UP Tsu, I know you're laughing at me.

I know the game's 18-bit but the pictures don't have to look it, too!
September 17, 2004, 11:14 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: The Legend of Zelda Heart Container guide has been updated with the Heart Container locations for Quest 2.

Commentary: I was quite astonished when I loaded up the page for the Z1 Heart Containers. The Quest 1 pictures look AWEFUL! Yeah, I did those way baaaaack when I was just learning how to use an art program and was only using a cheap free download trial. I think my next update is going to be newer and fresher pictures to replace those.

I am Link! Fear me and my mighty wooden sword of doom!
September 17, 2004, 8:54 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Actually, it's not an update as much as it's a edit/correction. The Warp Solutions page has been edited since it seems that Quest 1 and 2 are the same in that area.

Commentary: Well, I got bored last night, didn't really want to work on the site, and I got curious when I saw a Quest 2 overworld map. ^_^;; I still had it open even as I begun the game and played it. *Cough* As soon as I figure out a few mysteries, I'm going to do some quick directions for those dungeons as well. Umm, well, -_- I really was never intending to play it and I'm cheating extensively in the Overworld, but oh well. o_O Don't the dungeons make up for it. I mean, come on... finding the Flute in Level 2 was a miracle. What the heck. I was goofing around wondering if I clanged my sword against the wall if it would make a hollow sound when I suddenly went through!! <_< Uhh... -_- and yeah, the game genie codes are on, too. Look on the bright side! As soon as I'm done with Quest 1 I'll start on a Quest 2 walkthrough. ::Feels guilty for cheating:: ...

Die! Die! You stupid mail system! .... Actually... it's working now...
September 16, 2004, 7:45 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Brief tiny little update. My mail system, though it's slow to get the mail, is obviously working now. Especially when I got all of the e-mails I've sent to myself the past few days all at once (about... 20). <_<;; *Sigh* Anyways, you can now use my webmaster@mcloz.net address.

Commentary: *Cough* ^_^ Yeah, I bet I've been pretty scary since yesterday. Sorry, it's just how I take out my stress. Please forgive me. Time to go back to my normal... unviolent... self. (Unviolent... have I ever been like that?).

"And when it arrives - I'll smash it with a hammer!!"
September 15, 2004, 5:53 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: I updated the Minish Cap release dates image to the left in the features. I now know that the Minish Cap release is scheduled for November 4th. ^_^ Hee, I also learned the Japanese title for the game. "Fushigi no Boushi." The Mysterious Hat. (Ok, ok, I had to use an online translator for "boushi" that I found today. Not the best site/translator but not bad either.)

Commentary: >_< I'm going to kill my mailing system. It's not working T-T. For some reason, mail is not getting to webmaster@mcloz.net from at least hotmail. Isn't it odd, though, a forum thing I'm a participant in sent me mail and it got through o_O. There's no problem sending mail out, but I don't think it will be too useful like that. *Sigh* I'm working on it. Please continue e-mailing me via magicfox64@hotmail.com. Thank you.

Now you are telling me that there's something wrong with my mail
September 15, 2004, 11:12 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Good news is: I finally have that page done that I mentioned earlier today ^_^. Warping Solutions has been added to the Legend of Zelda game section. w00t!!

Bad news is: My e-mail system seems to be experiencing technical difficulties and I'm really not too sure if I'm getting my e-mail. So, if you want to e-mail me, please send it to this address: magicfox64@hotmail.com. Just temporary until I can make sure things are working. It might just be that cpanel is being slow.

Commentary: My head hurts... I'm off to try to figure this out, I guess. *Sigh* So this takes place of Coranto. I KNEW I would not get away without a headache today. >_<

Ok... so now it should be working, should... does it? Wow! It did!!
September 15, 2004, 7:02 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: In a rather surprising turn of events I start working on Coranto last night as soon as everything was uploaded. I had only intended to meddle with it. Mostly just intending to download the right FTP program that lets me configure CHMOD better. This game me issues and I thought that was only a sign of the impending headaches. But after I had done all that I decided "let's just start". And oddly, the CHMODing, the stuff that gives me the most headaches, worked. So... o_O Coranto was back up and running last night and this morning I finished the configuration.

Commentary: Happy, yes I am! That's the first time I've ever installed Coranto that it didn't give me a few hours worth of issues and screams and headaches. ^_^ I was planning on needing the entire day today to re-install Coranto and maybe by only some force and will of God would I be done by tonight. ^_^ Does this mean... could it possibly be... my bad luck wore off?

Oh, but get this, you guys are going to LOVE this part. You remember how I needed to work on the LoZ game to get it where I needed it to do the LoZ section. Well, I was so bored while loading everything up all I did the entire time was play LoZ. And guess what. I am now on Dungeon 6 but most importantly I am far enough in the game where I'm able to do some of these pages. ^_^ And I already have the screenshots for one page and will get to work on it today! Yes, feel free to shower me with praise, my loyal subjects.

And MCLoZ is back online! Now for Coranto...
September 14, 2004, ?:?? PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok, everyone! MCLoZ should be fully uploaded and ready to go! If you spot any broken links or missing pictures PLEASE E-MAIL ME!! But there really shouldn't be.

Commentary: But... the news system is still not up online, yet. I am once again typing this news out and will need to upload it manually myself. For the rest of today and tomorrow I will be working on that. I'm NOT going to update again until I've got it up. When it's back online I'll be celebrating. It's going to be such a headache. *Sigh* Wish me good luck everyone. Oh, and this page shouldn't screw up. I'm going to do my testing on another page.

Bad news, guys, though no where near as bad as it could have been
September 14, 2004, ?:?? PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: MCLoZ is temporarily in hiatus. The forums are down (and more than likely "gone") and the Coranto news system no longer exists and must be reconfigured. What happened? MCLoZ wasn't experiencing any issues before, right? Well, I'm afraid my host was. I'm SO not even too sure what half of what he said means so, I posted some of his explanation in the commentary. Needless to say, though, the server had issues, they replaced it, the back up however didn't work so now his site and all of his hostee's accounts are "gone". Everything needs to be reloaded.

What does that mean for us? Well, fortunately, MagicFox does not trust simply loading things onto the net with no back up. Absolutely not, I've worked too hard to let freak accidents like this occur and wipe out five years worth of work. So, MCLoZ is fine for the most part. There were a few things that I didn't back up. Like the current Coranto news from this month, but ::caresses her computer:: I am such a genius and my computer is so faithful. I simply put the broswer on offline and typed in the address and it reloaded everything from the last time I looked at my site and just copied. ;) Am I good or what? The other things were... that Movies and Trailers page. I only have the LoZ commercial. I need to reobtain the others. Shouldn't be too hard.

And maybe the worst lost, the one thing that always takes the hardest hit - Coranto. I complain every time I have to reset it up because it's a b*tch to set up. But, I will set it up and try to get everything reconfigured. But that means, until I do, no updates. Literally no talk on the main page. This one was typed in HTML format which explains why the time is missing. And now, last but not least, the one thing that really took a plunge... my forums. They are gone. Totally need to be reconfigured. >_< Which I'm going to need to nag my friend Josh to do. I'll try to do them myself again but... *sigh* -_-. This sucks, this really really sucks.

So, to end, I will be working today and tomorrow trying to reset everything. Coranto will be the last thing that I set up. Please be patient. A lot of the site is going to be down. Oh, and if later on you see this page looking screwy or unnatural in some way, ignore it. It's just me trying to reset Coranto.

Commentary: Khuffie, my host's e-mailed explanation of what happened. I don't know too much about servers so some of it's greek to me. I'll just nod and smile and understand the main meat of it. The server went down and the backup won't work.

At around 7 PM yesterday, the servers were rebooted and didn't come back on. I contacted technical support, and was informed that the backup drive is going through some system checks, and if the server couldn't fix it, would have to be replaced. Unfortunately, I was later informed that the BIOS is not recognizing the primary hard-drive either, it is unrecoverable and would have to be replaced.

The server has been reinstalled, (I've ordered a 60gig hard-drive, we previously had 30 gigs), I'm just waiting for the cPanel license to be activated.

Unfortunately, the backup drive refuses to mount. Nocster will be able to ship it to a data recovery lab, which would be bloody expensive, but I've asked to see if they can ship it to me, and maybe me (and dryth?) can take a look at it; I'm still waiting to see how much that would cost.

I hope everything turns out alright for everyone, especially Zelda Legends. Since Zelda Elements went down, they are my #1 fave site. Well, anyways guys... meh, >_< it looks like my bad luck has rubbed off into the week. I TOLD YOU I was having bad luck. Didn't want to believe me did you? It's my fault all this happened. *Sniffle*

Awww, the simple pleasures of going back down memory lane
September 13, 2004, 2:45 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Sections 4 and 5 of the Legend of Zelda Walkthrough have now been added. ^_^ Aren't you proud of me. I finally got around to that. Now to get started on sections 6 and 7.

Commentary: Ok, I'm going to confess. I'm a fan of MegaTokyo. Hey, it's a manga doujinshi! Of course I'm a fan. Besides, the writer has a great wit and a lot of its reflective on gamers. Like today's strip. Somehow, it reminded me of my early gaming days with other guys I've played games with. Though Pyrogoeth isn't exactly a girl, the role still fits. Somehow I was the one interested in progressing with the game and finding things, while my partner joked around and what not. Though, I think with me, it's more obsessive than most other people. My little sister told me the other day that it drove her crazy when I would just walk around in the same area for about an hour searching for secrets. ^_^

Perhaps this is why I am such a big fan of games like Myst. I like total and complete game immertion and I LOVE lots of secrets and trying to figure puzzles out. Meh, though on the whole, it results in the fact that I take twice as longer than the average player to get through a game. Well, point being, many of my friends annoyed me when playing, but in retrospect, you know, I probably annoyed them, too. However, they would never say that because while I wander around at the same time I'm leveling up and I'm a pretty formidable character. Try as they might to prove their point that my way of gaming sucks, they could never do it. ;) How's that for mind candy.

Ok, so I still have a little bad luck left over or a big mouth...
September 13, 2004, 8:45 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: The Minish Cap art is up! ^_^ Enjoy them. They are soooo cute! You will also notice that I used one of the images to replace those "upcoming" pictures in the intro picture and the section bar. ~ Also, don't forget to vote in The Zelda Poll!

Edit: After posting this I went back in and messed some more with the quick link images I was trying to do. I fixed the image so that it wasn't so bright and so it doesn't look too bad in its slot now, so as I had promised yesterday - there's the surprise ^_^ a nice quick link.

Commentary: The other surprise was to have replaced one of the images above with a quick link to the section but the images didn't clash well with the others. So, I think I'll wait until some more definite pictures arrive and those will also replace the current ones which I noticed still look out of place. ::Shrugs:: I hope this isn't a sign of impending things this week. Anyways, I'll try to have some of the LoZ walkthrough done and my LoZ game progress is going well.

Edit: Meh... I really wanted a quick link up there. It doesn't look too bad now, actually. Yeah, though, it's replaced Majora's Mask. ^_^ But I think you can live with the loss, yes? Better than scrolling down the full game list to find TMC.

Oh, so that's where they came from! I feel silly now....
September 12, 2004, 10:55 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: The Zelda News Menu has been updated! It seems that Nintendo's Japanese website launched the official Minish Cap website today. There's not really much to look at, but I found where the screenshots came from that Ganon's Tower posted up. ^_^;; *cough* Forgive MagicFox for being slow. It really hasn't been my weekend. -_- I'm usually on top of the news. ~ Anyways, though the news menu says otherwise, I don't have the screenshots up yet. And they are still going to be from Ganon's Tower since -_- I can't take shots from a flash or at least don't know how. Don't worry, I'll favor you guys with a few more surprises tomorrow.

Commentary: I do have some good news, though. Since Hurrican Ivan has been taking that westerly track at this time MagicFox's home is no longer marked in the path of the storm. I'll get grazed but hopefully nothing too serious. That's about the "only" thing that came out good today. I'm still feeling the effects of the drive reformat. I had one HECK of a scare today when Photoshop didn't want to work. NOOO!! ^_^; I got it though. ... I think I got a few white hairs from that one, though. Ok... *sniffle* I'm going to go crawl in a corner and just huddle for a while. TOMORROW I WILL GET THINGS DONE!! MWHAHAHAHA - irk...

An update sooner than thought - and another later? Maybe...
September 12, 2004, 5:08 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Three new midis have been added to the MCLoZ Midi Player. w00t!! They can be found under the section titled "4 Swords Adventure". ;) Yep. They are from the new game and if anyone has any more from the new game or ones from the past games, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands. That makes 235 Midis listed in the Midi Player.

Commentary: And maybe later on there will be another update. I noticed that Ganon's Tower updated today with some interesting "official" art. Not really official. Cute sketches at the very least and I would like to know where they came from. I'll post them up (and give full credit to GT of course) either today or tomorrow. Should be today. It's not that big of a project. ^_^ They are cute too.

*Sob* This weekend has been unkind to me - Updates Late
September 12, 2004, 11:18 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: *None, Updates tomorrow(?)

Commentary: Ok, this has been one heck of an interesting weekend and I need to rant and get it off my chest and I'm sure you guys will find it humerous as well. It all started yesterday when I was trying to do a "Warp Solutions" for the LoZ page. I needed pictures. So, I went over to Zelda Legends website and d/led a save of a complete game (make my life easy) and tried to run it. o_O It didn't work. I spent about an hour and a half trying to fight with the thing when I went back and read "save state". >_< Wah! I was thinking it was a battery save. For those that don't know emulators and roms. Save states are the quick saves Emulators can perform while battery saves are the original cartridge type saves. So, I opened the save state in one of my two NES programs. I return later after cooling off and open the same NES program and go back to trying to get the pictures. I get to the area I need to get when I realize - the program doesn't TAKE screenshots. >_< And the program that I normally use to take NES screenshots doesn't use the save states Zelda Legends hosts. So, guess what - You guys will have to wait for LoZ updates while I work on a game and try to get it up to where I need it for the screenshots. Thankfully the program allows game genie codes and ^_^ that's one thing I have posted up on the site. So, shouldn't take too long o_O... at least you don't have to worry about my pathetic ROM skills.

But wait- it doesn't end there. A few days ago some of you that chatted with me will know and remember that I had some computer issues with spyware. I went to a site someone had proposed an affiliation with and I got tons of spyware downloaded in an instant. I thought I had gotten it all but my computer continued to pose problems - more specifically, my browser would not open and error every few minutes. Last night, when I got over my anger, I logged in and attempted to start on the next sections of the walkthrough. The browser errors again and... it won't open again. I fought for ten minutes trying to open a browser. I shut off my computer and bring it up again (my poor buddies - -_- I said "BRB" but I never signed back on) and it STILL doesn't work. I went to bed very furious.

My Dad was forced to redo our main computer drive (don't worry, we have two drives. The other one has my site stuff so no losses ~_~ thank God). However, I'm now missing a few fonts, thankfully my creative photoshop fonts are still around, and I've got to reload a few programs. So. -_- No updates today. Maybe if we are lucky I'll get around to an update later tonight. Doubt it because I'm thoroughly pissed - wouldn't you be? I tried! I really was trying to work on updates. But it just wasn't my day at all. >_< I was even wanting to write up some commentary on the fact it was 9/11 yesterday. Gah. ::Stomps off:: I'm going now. I hope you enjoyed this nice little laugh at my issues. Hopefully when my computer is working again I'll be able to as well. *sniffle*

Oh, btw, if you read all of this. Here's a cookie. >_> Don't you have anything better to do with your time? I mean, seriously. Get a life or something.

MagicFox is working hard... or so we all hope she is....
September 9, 2004, 5:50 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Well, actually, I updated the Meet the Staff and Join the Staff sections. In the Meet the Staff page please take note that I have added a new way that you can contact me. That's right. Since I have trillian now I decided "Ok... I'll sign up for Yahoo! too." So, Yahoo fans can now contact me and chat with me. As for the Join the Staff page, major thing to note is... well, I sorta realize a mistake I have been making lately, especially with the walkthrough. Gah! >_< There's two quests of LoZ and I only know the first Quest and a lot of the current pages only "have" the first Quest stuff but unmarked. o_O God, I hope I didn't confuse anyone. I'll fix that tomorrow. Anyways, I'm looking for someone who can do the second quest. >_> Or you all can wait for me to tackle that game. Errr ... *MagicFox Invision: "So, should I play Kingdom Hearts or LoZ second quest... Sora is SO cute XD ... I'll play LoZ later...." /Transmission* Uhh... yeah.... *cough* -_-

Commentary: ^_^;; No, really, I am working... Yes! I am!! ::Stares at Max-cat on the desk and hopes he doesn't mention to anyone about the time spent writing... and then playing KH and Harvest Moon...." -_- Well... I am trying. Honestly...

Anyways, though, the poll results are turning out real nice. ^_^ For those that have voted "don't bother" meh, I don't take offense. More time for me to play KH and not have to worry about my scanning skills (or, well, lack of). But honestly, I seriously didn't expect the newer games to be the ones that were voted for. I was thinking, you know, Z1 and Z2 originals. Things that were before a lot of the current fans' time. -_- Which kinda sucks, really, since I don't have any of the GCN games 'cause I don't have a GameCube.

Ha! Did I suprise you? Guess what this update is about
September 9, 2004, 7:59 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: And for this morning's update, I have the next section of the original Legend of Zelda Walkthrough placed up. More than likely I'll have even more later today, but this is just in case I'm not able to get around to it.

Commentary: Hee, a little surprise, a little fun with the subject-sprite. I thought, "this update has very little to do with LttP, sadly. Say, what if I surprised everyone with a LoZ sprite instead!" ^_^ I think he's cute. I might use him every time I announce a Retro update, but who knows. Anyways, don't forget to vote at the polls!! The results so far are quite... astonishing actually. o_O

I forgot this but it's too big to just include in the last update
September 8, 2004, 2:27 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok, the Zelda Poll just got updated again. For the results of the previous poll, please read the commentary. This poll is rather important. I'm thinking of trying something but before I even "think" to put the energy into it, I want to know if you guys would "like" it. I'm thinking about scanning some of the manuals (mostly the old ones) for the Z games and putting them up on the site. So, please use the poll to tell me which ones you would like to have on the site, if any. I know there's a lot of options, please choose as many or as little as you like and be honest. ^_^ If you want them all, check them all. (Though, for the newer games, I have no idea how I'm going to accomplish that.) Mostly this is just to see the results. I'm NOT saying that I am going to do it. Just to see if it would be a well received idea.

Commentary: Aww, now the results for the last poll. Pretty interesting survey. The question was are you excited for the upcoming game The Minish Cap. The results were "Duh! It's a Zelda game!" 38 votes, "Yes: I love cute!" 16 votes, "Yes: but I also want realistic" 11 votes, "No! I hate cute!" 2 votes, and "No: Realistic sorta took over" 1 vote. I think that kinda explains where things stand and will maybe shut a few mouths about this dropping this whole cartoonish thing. ^_^

Max is back! Mwhahahaha! Ok, now for updates...
September 8, 2004, 1:33 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Alright and for today's updates, allow me to turn everyone's attention to the new Zelda Videos and Trailers page where you will find a rather pathetic old commercial for the first release of Legend of Zelda. ~ Second, umm, I forgot about the screenshots when I said the Link to the Past section was completed. Well, there they are now, though I am wanting to get some of the GBA version. ~ And last but not least, we have a new affiliate. Please welcome Just Zelda!

Commentary: Were you worried about me? Awww, it's alright. The hurricane only touched us... -_- though we have some yard work to do now and schools were closed yesterday and today, don't know about tomorrow. It was close. We were very lucky. And my grandparents are headed back down to Florida to servey the damage, though people tell him it wasn't much (he just lost a perfectly wonderful shade tree that I remember spending many days writing under when we were visiting. >_< ). I hope Hurricane Ivan doesn't pose any future threats. Have I told you guys recently how much I HATE GA.

And in further news, if you wish to contact me, AIM fans can rejoice. I use to not make many appearances since I hated the program, but I dled Trillian and while it's no where near as good as my beloved MSN it's a comfortable comprimise, so feel free to IM me AIM lovers! /Shameless self-promotion LOL XD

Whoosh... Hurricane Francis is kinda... waaaaah
September 4, 2004, 8:03 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: *None today or tomorrow

Commentary: Sorry today I was going to try to update but umm... well, in case you haven't been watching the weather, Hurricane Francis is making its merrily SLOW way up Florida and yeah... do we remember where MagicFox lives? Near the coast just above Florida. While we might not get a direct hit, it should make for a pretty interesting storm. Lights out... maybe DSL will go down... who knows. So, yeah, I doubt I could even update tomorrow. ^_^; Max is getting tired of these close Hurricane-calls... -_-

Wait... What... I didn't mess with any mail settings
September 4, 2004, 9:25 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok, it has been bugging me lately that the two most popular sections of my site, Zelda Secrets and Oddities, and Link's Infinite List of Torure, have both not received any turn ins in a looooong while. In fact, not one since I last put oddities up. After logging into my mail today to check it, I couldn't help but think "this isn't right" so I went and checked and tested the forms. o_O THEY AREN'T WORKING. After messing with the bravenet settings and then my mailbox settings I figured out the cause. For some reason the mail was being classified as junk and being deleted! >_< I don't know HOW this happened, I certainly haven't even messed with anything, but I have put my junk mail folder "on" so I can look at junk mail before it gets deleted.

Oh, and another fix... I need to check my error log a lot more often. -_- Sorry guys, the link to the Zelda 3 Comic chapter 1 and chapter 6 was broken and I only "now" realized it. I fixed them. You can now download the first and sixth chapters.

Commentary: *Sigh* So, in other words, if you have tried using ANY of the forms on the site, Oddities, staff contact, Infinite Torture List, Beta Comments, join staff, etc. I haven't gotten it. Please fill out the forms again and I will be watching my mail a little bit closer. >_< I am SO sorry. Ticks me off no end. *sigh* -_- Why me?

I tried pushing for it - but I failed out of laziness
September 3, 2004, 2:05 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Sections 1-2 of the Legend of Zelda Walkthrough are now up. Umm, I changed some things. What I was refering to in the previous update was that I was hoping I could get the first dungeon information up. I know there are two sections here but I didn't make my goal. Meh, I was rather laziness when writing the second portion up, so I might go back and edit it and you'll see some changes on it when I next update it.

Commentary: Ummm -_- Max is being lazy today. Forgive her. Walkthroughs are a pain in the butt to write up and especially for a game like LoZ which is difficult enough to play without needing to write about it as well. ^_^ But be happy that it's started at least. >_> Meh.. tomorrow I think I'll just put some screenshots up for the game sections like I need to do... meh... BLEH >_< ~lazy~

The UK will get The Minish Cap before USA - wah?
September 3, 2004, 7:10 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Rumored and minorly unbelieved by a lot of people (including me), the release date was confirmed for the UK Zelda fans. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap will be heading to your shores November 12, 2004. A whole two months before us American residents. (Yeah, so that means the little image to the left was updated. I didn't think I would be going back to it THAT soon.)

In addition, the Club Skill website posted some extremely fascinating news about the storyline. It seems that The Minish Cap is in direct connection somehow to the Four Swords plot, more so than we initially thought from looking at the trailers. You can read the released storyline info on the Club Skill website, or you can check out our updated Minish Cap section on the site. (I've been busy this morning ^_^)

Commentary: Ok... wow! I had read the release date on some other UK Zelda site and was like "wait, the US is scheduled for January - YEAH RIGHT! That's a false rumor." I really didn't believe it until and am still having some slight problems with it. ^_^ I wonder what Doh is thinking. His whole Investigation was about the UK gamer's life and he seriously doubted Nintendo's promises to get things over there faster. Hrrrm... but I suppose one good deed doesn't redeem them, yet, at least not in Doh's eyes. Anyways, I'll try to have the first section of the Z1 walkthrough up today. (I'd have liked section two and I'm going to push for it, but no promises.)

Sorry for the tiny update - life stinks at the moment
September 2, 2004, 6:37 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok... today's update includes... three new images that will appear off to the left in the special feature area. They are tiny images that feature the current release dates for the upcoming Z games (at this time, Zelda II for GBA, The Minish Cap, and Realistic Zelda).

Commentary: I meant to have a bigger update. I was hoping to have the first installment of the LoZ walkthrough up. However, things don't always go as planned. Meh, my Dad had surgery Tuesday, came back yesterday, and well... let's just say that since he has been back, things haven't been going well. What gets me is the abrupt discharge from the hospital. They tear open his neck and expect him to make out all right? Shouldn't there be some careful watching in that. There's a lot of important things in the neck, you know. What's worse, my Dad, the stubborn man he is, refused to stay up there if he didn't have to, so made my Mom drive him the four hour drive back down (despite my protests that he should stay up and at least be near the hospital). Meh, he went back up today after having abnormal probs breathing and stuff. No worries, it was confirmed an hour ago it's just severe swelling but it is a "good" thing that he came back since the fourth day is always the worse. -_- This, plus the hurricane... meh... it's been a very rough day. Leave me alone, I'm the girl huddled up in the dark corner at the moment.

Wanted: Zelda Video Games - Dead or Alive!
September 1, 2004, 9:58 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: First, it's a new month so - guess what? August's pathetically tiny page of updates was moved to the updates archives. ~ Saving the best for last, I'll move on with this: The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: Adventure of Links sections both had their Packaging Artwork page updated with the GBA Classic Series releases. Yeah, they already release Z2's artwork, so I guess that pretty much means - it's coming over! Just in case you had any doubts. ~ Last but not least (this ties in with the update title): A new page was added in the "Legends of Zelda" menu bar to the left. "Uncompleted Zelda Games." On that page I list and talk about all of the Zelda games that were being worked on but died (i.e. Ura Zelda). I also listed the "rumored deaths" (i.e. TWW2). Yeah, I thought that you might find this page interesting. Go read it, it might even list a few games you didn't know about.

Commentary: I wrote that page up this morning when I got out of the bed, was brushing my teeth, thinking how eople mistake Uru and TWW for being dead and began remembering things like that 3rd chapter of the Oracle games. Then I thought "I need to update my site. I have the box art stuff but... kinda wish I had some other bigger things." I jumped ^_^ ramdom brain spark at 6 AM in the morning. Most people find facts like these interesting and they were topics I had initially wanted to include in the Main Games page, but length prohibited it. So, there you go! Up for your reading and learning pleasure. I've became a Z fan a year before the release of OoT and I've heard a lot of stuff but it amazes me how quickly some people forget it or just never heard about it when I'm like the least informed about anything unless I'm really trying. ::Shrugs:: Oh well. See you guys later. I'll try to have some Legend of Zelda game stuff up tomorrow. Tata!! ::Skips away to consider doing the walkthrough::
